I bought 19 windows from Home Depot 20 years ago (American craftsman 8500 series) Store 2555, Capitol Heights, MD.

I have tried without success for the last 3 years to find someone to come and make the repairs. I've been given incorrect information and out of frustration just stopped trying. Today, 3-6-18, i tried again and was given a number for warranty and that number was not operational.

What goes on home depot? Is there anyone that cares and will say the buck stops here and i will help you? This is my last attempt at a resolution before i take my business elsewhere.

I moved from the Salt Lake City area 6 months ago. I shopped 3-4 different home depots in the area and had good experience and felt Home Depot was the place to shop. Since moving to St. George Utah 6 months ago I have been very disappointed in the management of the Home Depot in Washington, Utah. Service is usually poor do to no help available.

This is the second time I have contacted Home Depot about this disappointment. In six months it has not changed. I try to shop there as a stock hold though it might not be a lot of stock. However, Lowes in St. George is really making the Home Depot in Washington, Utah look pretty poor.

my son brought home a 1/2" x 3" x 6' pine strip of kitchen moulding. It is a 1/4" to wide to fit in place. Can he bring this pine strip to the country club, Mesa Az. Home Depot [where we have shopped for 20 years....and have them make one precise 1/4 in cut through this piece of moulding, since he only has a jig saw which will surely hack up this moulding strip.

He will pay for this precise cut, whatever it typically charged. Please respond. Sincere thanks !!

I realized after ordering the rosemary sage plugins that they ended up being over $8 a 2 pack. That's simply absurd for 2 small bottles of oil. I know Target and Walmart sell a 2 pk for under $5. Unfortunately they don't carry the rosemary sage. I would think that it'd be cheaper buying a case like I did. I'm interested in buying more but need a lower price. What can you do for me? My order is # W830616678 @ $51.24 W/O tax. Please help me on this matter.

As you can see by the memo below, I sought help from your customer service group. I can only tell you that my frustrations were only compounded ten-fold by the response given. First of all, I sent a picture of the door I was seeking, that was taken in your store. The picture even had your logo on it. Why this person would dismiss me and say you do not sell it, I do not know. I reached out to the manufacturer who contacted your store and connected me with someone that could help. We ordered the door from you with your Mill Works guy. We are now behind and it will be close for us to meet a deadline, mostly because we got tied up with someone that just dismissed me. That is shameful. In fairness, Carlos and Cathy (asst. mgr) at the Millennial store were helpful. Had I not reached out to Masonite, the door maker, I would not have found the door and we still are unsure if we will get it in time. This is disappointing at best. While I am not a general contractor, Home Depot is an entity that portends to be helpful to the "amateur". I am not looking for anything, but making you aware of this.
Thank you,

Dan Smith, 407-505-8468

My name is Michelle R. Conyer. I've been a Home Depot Customer for some years now. Last week on 9/17/18 I purchased items at the store - No problem.

However, I encountered the most pleasant employee at Store# 0144. She told me her name is Janis Parker.
She was assisting me with blinds. She was most helpful - she made me feel interested in what I needed. I didn't purchase the blinds - however, HomeDepot is still my place to shop. Ms. Parker made the experience even better. Hire more folks like her. Sincerely, Michelle R. Conyer.

Twice, in the last month, I've encountered problems with purchasing items from your store. Both times the men who I approached seemed more intent on making me feel stupid rather than helping me. The first one told me that you didn't carry the item and, when I showed him on my phone that you did, he just dismissed it as a mistake on my part and said that I would have to order it online. I finally reached around him and took it from a rack on the wall.

The second one, yesterday, was when I went in for a gallon of paint. The man told me, when I handed him the paint chip, that you didn't carry that color and he had never heard of it. I went through a long process to get him to match it and fought with him to get him to understand that I needed a gallon instead of a quart. He just wouldn't listen to me and it took much longer than it should have. He finished up with a stern warning about no guarantee, etc. When he turned his back, two other women standing near me rolled their eyes in sympathy.

Hopefully you have a policy in place to do something about this attitude. I shop at hardware stores frequently and don't have time for this treatment. I will shop only in stores that treat me with dignity.

I have received the white Silverton 48" fireplace. Included was the instructions for the fireplace insert, but NOT for the cabinetry itself. Please email me the details for using the hardware provided. Many thanks!

I placed a order shop on line pickup at store on Friday 5/11 at about 5:00 and when I hadn't heard from the store by noon today I first checked my order status on line which said processing so I called the store. I was told that it could take 7 to 10 days same as a internet order and if I wanted it faster I could come to the store and get it off the shelf myself. Please tell me this isn't true.

I purchased a set of stacked up washer and dryer (whirlpool) on May 2019, and they were delivered to my house two days ago. I tested the washer and dryer yesterday and discovered that that washer vibrated violently and made a lot of noise, and due to the vibration of the washer and it caused one of the screws on the dryer stacked on top of the washer fell off. And for the dryer, it also did not dry well. Anyway, my wife and I were/are very dissatisfied with the products and went to home depot to complain about it and asked for a refund, but the home depot policy for the purchased appliances is that they do not allow customers to return the bad products and get a refund, instead, they will send the technicians to check on the products and provide an exchange of the same-brand-products if the purchased products were found bad.

Therefore, we did not get a refund. To make the long story short, the Whirlpool washer is just so terrible (I recorded how the washer vibrated and the noise it produced while they were being tested) that I really want to get rid of the washer and dryer all at once and get a different set with a different brand.

I will go to home depot tomorrow morning and show the video to the customer service at home depot letting them know how the whirlpool washer vibrated and produced the noise, and I hope to get a refund on both products. I just want home depot to see how bad the products are operating.

I am a very loyal home depot customer, and we have purchased at least $20,000.00 worth of materials from home depot this year for the home improvement program.

I may have to find a different retailer to purchase the materials to improve my home if my current issue did jot get resolved professionally.

My husband died June 7, 2019. He had the ProXtra for when either one of us purchased paint, etc at Home Depot. I have spent hours trying to cancel his account and make a new one for me. It came back our phone number has been used. It's our home phone number so of course it will be the same phone. My husband's name is Richard Taylor, Email: Rich1462@aol.com Employee at the store I go to is in San Pedro, CA. She said she couldn't do this for me and gave me a PROXtra card. She told me to go online to fix it. I have called several phone numbers. Please help! I need to fix this so I can delete my husband's email address.

Remove my name from your mailing list immediately!! We have destroyed the card, because every time we buy something from home depot, it gives us nothing but grief!! We will not use a card from you again, and are tired of receiving mailings from you. Any more mailings will be kept as evidence in a harassment lawsuit. Your most recent annoying letter had the # 05092415 1-r37 above the mailing address.

On April 13th I was was delivered a Cub Cadet XT1 Mower (Order #WA82249033) that I purchased with cash from Home depot online. The mower was damaged! I have contacted Home Depot via phone message, and email. I even contacted the shipping company (AAA Cooper Transportation) minutes after the delivery and at the request of a receptionist sent pictures of the damage. No one has called me back in nearly a week! The mower, still in the original crate, is still sitting in my driveway with the damaged mower in it. If this is not going to be taken care of quickly Please refund my money so I can go someplace else.

I appreciate that HomeDepot has set up curbside pickup at my Shorewood, IL store. Since I am a member of the senior population, minimizing my social exposure right now is important and your service made this possible. We are all wearing masks when out in public right now. The only complaint about the service that you might improve is to have the associates who are delivering the goods to those picking up should also be wearing masks. I wear mine to protect them and I know you want your representatives protecting your customers. Thanks again for what you are doing during these difficult times.

I recently ordered (Order # W857704734) a five gallon pail of Home Depot's BEHR Premium Plus Paint and Primer in one since (I'm told) they no longer carry it in stores. My question is WHY does it take over 5 weeks to get it??? That is not acceptable. I would cancel my order BUT they know I can NOT get it elsewhere and I really prefer their all in one paint.

I purchased an expensive ($2K) washer/dryer pair mostly because my old washer had died and I could get the Samsung pair delivered earliest. So the new set arrives and Home Depot cannot install because the water valves need to be replaced. They send an "emergency" plumber out (5 days later - some emergency huh?). Plumber comes and replaces the valves. When I asked him to push the old or new washer back into the recess he pulled it out of - he's not allowed, per Home Depot. THEN I'm told the installation cannot be completed until June 8th. (I apologize ma'am...UGH!) So now I have 2 washers and a dryer IN MY KITCHEN that I cannot use. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Never again will I purchase a major appliance (or anything) from Home Depot. NEVER!

I paid a lot of money and have had nothing but problems. Delivery people were friendly and kind but cannot go around Home Depots policies that serves only themselves - NOT THE CUSTOMER!

I have no complaint, just a danger warning.

You should know that a scam is being operated from your store's parking lot at Lincoln & McCormick in Chicago. It happened to me this morning 06/15/2020

As I was pulling out of the store parking lot two Mexican guys in a black SUV pulled alongside me and gestured for me to wind down my window. I drive a Toyota Prius and the license plate holder gives the Toyota dealer's name which is Grossinger.

So, armed with this information, the driver says "do you remember me, I'm from Grossinger." I say sorry the car is two year's old I don't know you. Then he says "what happened to get all that bodywork damage?" I reply there is no damage or I would have seen it this morning. He says pull over and I'll show you. Sure enough the front wing has been hit and damaged and to my untrained eye it looks bad. He says don't worry, we're from Grossinger and if you go to them they'll want $5,000 to fix this but we can do it now for just the cost of materials. The driver engages me in conversation while his friend, "Francisco", sets to work with some sort of suction cup device. After a few minutes they call me over to show a pretty good repair. Then they try to make me pay $2,800. I refused. At one point it was quite a threatening situation. I gave them $60 just to get away.

I didn't see them do the damage but there is absolutely no other way it could have happened. Their whole operation was very well rehearsed. The damage can only have been done in the store parking lot because I'd been nowhere else and the car is always securely garaged.

I haven't filed a police report but by all means forward this email to police as you think fit. This is for your information, I am not making any claim. Don't let it happen to other customers.

If you pay attention to most of these comments it seems to me that a major company would make a better effort to insure their customers are their most important asset. I have had a couple of issues in the past and yes they have been fixed. One cost you almost $8000.00. They all start with an employee that simply does not care. Frustration can and does leave a bad taste in one's mouth. I know this covid crap is an inconvenience to you but don't loose site of quality customer service. I just spend 4 days running around looking for 3 colors of oil based paint. Which I have always been able to purchase from Home Depot. Anyway stopped by, nothing on the self, not even a single can. I asked when it was expected and was informed that Home Depot no longer carries that type of paint. Ok so I went to Lowes and purchased two of the colors I needed. Got home and checked on line. It shows you do carry it but only in quarts, 2 of the colors were $8.98 a can and one was $17.98. I called the store and they informed me they did not stock it. I told them I am on line and it says it is available for two of the colors and one is not. Why was the one color $17.98. was informed it was a 2 pack and it is the only way it is sold. So today I stopped by to pick a single item up and decided to check. 2 of the 3 colors there and the one that is $17.98 on line in on the self for $8.98. Although this is minor, we get this kind of crap all the time. Good luck

Went to Home Depot and the person checking me out had a hat on. Hat that said “America was never great”. I left the merchandise with her. Several people behind started reading her hat. Does Home Depot support this? If so, you have loss a life time customer.

To Whom It May Concern

I am writing this electronic email after finding it very hard and difficult to try and receive adequate, correct, satisfactory, customer friendly advice from a member of your Home Depot. The information had to do, above all, with how to secure, purchase and obtain installation of an purchase an Ashland 37inch Vanity, for my bathroom(Model Number AL11P2-WH;(Internet 301281743).

I am a Seventy One(71) year old Black, disabled, Senior citizen and shop quiet frequently at Home depot. The awesome journey for me is how do I obtain, purchase and secure all of the relevant parts and services needed to have the product delivered to my home for installation?

Time after time has led me to spend time on the telephone seeking a spot in line and hoping that I would be lucky enough to have someone at Home Depot pick up the telephone and talk with me about my request.

In addition, it has been very hard for me to try and discover how to add on the purchase of an American Standard Chatfield 4 inch Ch Center 2 Handel Bathroom Faucet for the price of $59.00 (model Number 7413201.002 or (Internet Number (206310460) woman

I look forward to hearing from you.

My wife and I went to buy 30 red step stones--since I just had hernia repair and cannot lift -I asked the cashier if we could get some help to load the blocks as I cannot lift for another three weeks, ( Rita -the cashier called it in) we waited and after approx 30 mins a employee came dragging up -looking all grumbled--my wife is 4'11"-100 lbs. By then we said we will somehow take care of the blocks. My wife loaded the blocks--Rita was apologizing for the situation as we checked out--as my wife was loading the blocks in the truck, two young employees came running--Rita must thave heated someone up over the lack of help----we also told them thanks but we got it. I will not beg for help--don't need the attitude that we are a burden . Since 2007 ,when we moved to Benson, we have spent many $1000's in the repair of the older home with materials from Home Depot. All I can say is Rita tried, I saw these say guys hanging out earlier in the store doing nothing . But we will take our purchases elsewhere now. Lowes is in Sierra Vista also. They don't have to give me a hug--offer me coffee etc but basic courtesy >>If they don't like working there--THEY SHOULD QUIT--OH I AM 74 YRS OLD--MY WIFE IS 72 . BEEN A GOOD TRIP WITH HOME DEPOT UNTIL NOW --GOODBYE

During these days of social distancing it is safer to order online and use the curb side pick up whenever possible. I appreciate the curbside pickup and the military discount offered by Home Depot. Too bad a person can't have both at Home Depot.

Lowes, on the other hand, verified my Military ID at the store, put a code on my account, so, when I use their online order I automatically get the discount. My wife will no longer let me shop at Home Depot. We are spending our monies at Lowes.

Do you think Home Depot will fix this issue so I can come home to Home Depot?

Steve Ehrhardt

Fri, 12/25/2020 - 03:29

My name is Steve Ehrhardt from Braintree, MA. My wife has ordered a dish washer online with Home Depot, the manufacturer was Bosch, back in October i believe. It was going to take a while for delivery so i asked if i could pick it up at the local store and was told that it would not be possible.

I was okay with that answer and decided to wait for the delivery date. Turned out the day of delivery, my wife heard a loud crash as the dishonest despicable truck driver/delivery men dropped it off the back of the truck. By the time my wife went outside they were already coming up the driveway with the dishwasher. It was not in a box, it was bubble wrapped so that my wife could not actually see the damage to the dishwasher. It looked okay to the naked eye and the dishonest delivery men said nothing about dropping it so she signed for it.

A few days later our handyman came by to install it and saw the damage immediately when he removed the tape and bubble wrap. He still tried to hook it up and get it working because the damage was large dents in the top which would not be visible. Turned out that the damage was worse than just dents as they could not get it to operate at all.

We called Home Depot to swap for a dishwasher that was not damaged and they said you signed for it and it is past 48 hours so you'll have to deal with Bosch. That was an absurd response from Home Depot since the dumb ass dishonest delivery guys that Home Depot had were at fault. Home Depot wanted nothing more to do with it except saying we are sorry as rules are rules. I understand there are rules and guidelines that customers need to follow but no one mentioned a 48 hour policy, no one mentioned dropping it and the customer suffers because of that? I won't actually get my dishwasher until January at the very earliest and am extremely pissed off about that.

This has caused us to wash dishes by hand since October and we've cancelled Christmas at my house because we have one small sink and a small kitchen that makes it difficult to handle a lot of dishes. We think it is bad business along with Bosch who thinks the same thing because Home Depot caused the damage but refused to take responsibility.

I am very frustrated and don't want to do business with Home Depot again and really feel like publicizing this incident to show people what happened so it doesn't happen to them.
