My husband & I applied for a loan last month, we have excellent credit so the agent said it will be fine. We were trying to combine 2 mortgages into one. Our agent asked for a $500.00 good faith check so we gave it and we had an appraisal the next day. The man was here all of 10 minutes, including outside and in, our home came in a little lower than we thought so the loan wouldn't work out, I asked about my money to be refunded and was told they will see how much the appraisal was. This week we got a $29.56 refund. We are both in our 70's and cannot afford to lose this kind of money. I find it hard to believe that an appraisal cost $430.00. If I was told this would happen I would of never tried doing the loan. We called our agent Joey Mehelich yesterday and he hasn't returned our call. I will definitely tell everyone not to use your company and put it on face book and twitter to warn people. If someone can help I would appreciate it greatly.
