I purchased 3 of these in December (1 as a gift) and ALL of them have stopped working! Pretty embarrassing to give someone a defective gift. As far as our 2 that I have, one was in our main living area and the battery just died. I brought down the one from the game room (used once) and it stopped after 20 minutes. I am getting no help without a receipt. I can take pictures... I have model numbers, serial numbers... if I save every receipt for all of my purchases all year, my house would be a fire hazard!

I cant believe a company like Hoover would just dismiss a faulty product like this. Shame on me!

Machine is not very old and hasn't been used frequently. The brushes are nor spinning and there is a smell like burning plastic. I popped the brush assembly off and the shaft isn't chewed up so I don't think the smell is the shaft locking up and burning from friction.

I have taken apart a unit almost identical to this and there was no belt to replace. What do i need to do to get the unit up and running again.
