Hi! I am a member of the Wintergreen location in Rockville, Md. and noticed I was billed on 3/23/20 while the gym has been closed due to the Corona Virus. I would like my membership to be placed on hold until the gym re-opens. Thank you very much!

I can't cancel without being charged from 5/18/20 to 6/18/20. Why is that. I only use the pool and its STILL not open. I just want to cancel my May and extended Gym membership. I think its illegal to force someone to pay one more month when Golds Gym hasn't even been open and the pool still isn't open and so I won't be using golds gym. All the phone no.s just have messages and the people who handled membership and accounts at the gym location don't do that anymore for some reason. I have no luck on internet either.

So maks do not create problems for healthy persons, in terms of too little O2 or too much co2.
Gyms are one of the more risky places to be , regarding catching corona.

I need support. Been with golds gym for over 15 years. Just found out I been paying bi weekly while other guest are paying half of what I’m paying. I’m being told I need to pay additional costs to change my plan to the new plan were I’m paying half of what I’m paying now. What sense does this make!!! This seems extremely disrespectful to be asked to do this when I was never told of a plan were I’m not paying twice as much then everyone else.

Hello,

I sent an email to cancel my membership at least 3 months ago, but because of covid no one ever emailed me back. Someone finally emailed me back, but I am now being charged for not having a 30 day notice on cancellation (because no one ever got back to me since the pandemic). I have moved away from the city and have not used the gym in months yet am still being charged this fee as well as last months membership costs too. Both of which seem very inappropriate to do to a costumer of 2 years. I would appreciate if someone would call me about this ASAP. 913-620-4137.

Please cancel my membership to Golds gyms Goleta 93117 in California and refund the full fee you charged my credit card in June and if any in July as these were not authorized and I was not notified that you would be charging me even though my gym is not open.

To whom it may concern:

I have been a Golds Gym member for 10 years and I use the gym 6 days a week. I'm also a Personal Trainer who has had my application at Golds for 5 years and have yet to get a interview. I'm over 67 years old with over 44 years of lifting experience. I'm a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Senior Fitness Specialist, Golf Fitness Specialist, Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Silver Sneaker Certified. I have worked with MS Clients, Parkinson's Clients with a Rock Steady program. I'm also retired Military and I had a phone call asking if I was still interested in a job at Golds. I replied yes but have a lot of questions that need to be answered. Never heard back from the Montrose Golds Gym. It is run by a female manager and it seems that is all she hires and if she does hire a male. they don't last very long. That is one of my concerns of why there is so much turnover. I feel I have been discriminated against being over 65 and a male. This is just one issue that I'm getting legal advise on so that I know what my rights My other concern is the recent Colorado Mask Order effective 7/17/20 at 00:01am. I have a medical condition that will not allow me to wear a Mask. The mandate states: "People with medical conditions or a disability that prevent them from wearing a mask are exempt from this order." On 7/17/20 at about 11:35 my partner and I were starting our workout; she had her mask on and I took mine off when I got to the machines. The managers came up to me and told me to put my mask on and I replied that I can't because of my medical condition. I was asked to leave the gym. I complied and called my Lawyer who informed me to go back and let them know of my medical condition and if I'm still banded from using the Gym. Faith informed me that it is a private business and that they have the right to refuse me access. While waiting for Faith to talk to me, I observed and took pictures of people not wearing masks on equipment.

Just wanted to inform you of the double standards at the Golds Gym in Montrose Colorado and blatant discrimination. I have currently put a hold on my membership. Thank You,.

I received an email today informing me that my membership at Montgomery Crunch II is two months past due. This is remarkable, since I have never joined Montgomery Crunch. I suspect that Gold's Gym sold its membership roster when the Montgomery Gold's closed. However, Golds' business practices are reprehensible.

First, Gold's never contacted me to even tell me they were closing. After nearly 12 years of perfect membership and never missing a payment, they simply closed, and I found out via the local news. So, to start, they don't even bother to send me a letter saying goodbye, or thanking me for my long-term membership (12 years of perfect membership).

Now, all of a sudden, I'm receiving a bill from ABC financial collection agency, telling me I owe them two months membership dues in arrears. This is absolutely unreal. First, I never joined Crunch, nor agreed to have my Gold's membership switched to Crunch. Second, the Montgomery location was not EVEN OPEN during the two months for which they are billing me and calling me a deadbeat for not paying. Gold's seriously intends to charge someone for a place that was not open and has now permanently closed? To top it off, they then send me to a collections agency, which emails me and tells me I'm a deadbeat who owes Crunch $52.31.

With Gold's closing, The credit agency said I needed to let them know in writing if I was disputing the charge. Then, they provided no address - email of physical - to contact them. Nice way of doing business y'all! Anyway - I do not owe Gold's (or Crunch) one red cent. This company needs to think before treating its former loyal customers in this fashion.

I went to the gym as usual today, but there were 3 members not wearing masks. I asked the employees about masks and they said people with a medical note can workout without masks. This is ridiculous! The coronavirus is rampant in Texas. If you have asthma and cannot wear a mask, then stay home. The gym should shut down if they cannot keep members safe.

My husband and I went to our local Walmart store here in Mexico Mo. and were shocked to see more than a dozen people shopping without wearing masks. My husband is a 74 year old diabetic and I am a 72 years old with cancer. Neither of us can afford to get the coronavirus thing. Us wearing a mask is no protection. Everyone has to wear one to be safe. I want to be and feel safe when I'm in your store and after yesterday I don't. A lot of these non mask wearers were younger people. Not kids but 20 to 30 years old. By their actions they could be killing us and you would be a factor in this problem that you can stop.

Please cancel and refund my funds from March to date. In addition, the $39.99 you charged me on July 3, 2020 for who knows what and while you were closed in my state.

I see that many people have made this request so I am sure you are aware of the problem and are in the process of resolution. If not, please do so and complete a full refund. You have my contact information, please respond to me accordingly.

Thank you

Golds Gym is absolutely unreal I found out my gym is closing on the news not from Golds Gym. Then I found out it was not ever going to re-open once again from the news not Golds Gym I placed three request to cancel my membership all went unanswered then they sold my membership to club fitness without notifying me. I see a lot of these comments all saying the same thing who does Golds Gym think they are then. I was never notified that I had an ongoing membership until I saw it appear on my bank statement that I have been charge for a month for a gym I did not know that I even belong to absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. There should be a class action lawsuit against Golds Gym crooks.

I am a Senior Citizen and long time member of Spectrum and then Golds Gym. As a teacher I used the pool for water aerobic classes in the evenings. After I retired from teaching 45 years I attended the water aerobic classes everyday. My house has ceramic tiles throughout so there is no way I can workout on the floor.I only used the pool for my workouts. This is great for Seniors since other medical problems may restrict other workout activities at the gym. There is also the social time with other Seniors which is good. I'm alarmed that the new owners would consider closing all the pools. This is the only gym in San Antonio,Texas that has pools and classes for Seniors. Please allow the Seniors to enjoy the time and activity in aerobic exercises in the pool. Before we had up to 40 at a time enjoying the classes. The Seniors and others need to get back to the aerobic exercises as soon as the pandemic is handled. You may contact me for more information.

I would like to know if the entire company is a scam or just OKC? Because I have been a member since 2012. Different locations because of class offerings. Not always a fan of some of the teachers, but for the most part tried to deal with it. Tried to cancel during COVID, they deferred my membership. THANK YOU FOR THAT! Then i call at the end of June, caring for older people. Didn't want to be exposed. I am directed to the online/cancellation site. Didn't happen! Called back in August, what do you know doesn't show i have tried to cancel. Then get billed for longer. I really liked going to these gyms in okc / Yukon. Great workout classes, love that you can pick a location and class time that fits your schedule!!! When everything calms down i can tell you where i will NOT BE GOING !!!! GOLD's I will probably go ANYWHERE BUT GOLD's!! Did i mention the customer service people even hung up on me? OH LIKE IT IS MY FAULT THEY ARE A SCAM.

One move thing, several times going to the body pump class in the mornings. Run into underwear and boa in the weight storage room. SERIOUSLY!!

Don't bother to use their "Tech Help." The so called expert asks for a credit card number before the question is answered.
