Net10 wireless is a low cost cell phone carrier owned by TracFone. It is a prepaid phone services that uses networks of other carriers such as T-Mobile, Sprint or AT&T. The "10" in NET10 signifies that each voice minute costs ten cents (five cents for text messages), with no additional fees.
NET10 Wireless uses both GSM and CDMA phones which support voicemail and text messaging at a minimum. It also allows customers to bring other company's unlocked GSM phones to NET10 by buying a SIM card or activation kit and air time from the company.
